UX Designer

[Our app is a work in progress]
Overview
I am currently part of a small team at Bezzy. We have recently launched a mobile app, which allows users to engage in cultural exchange with friends, family, and influencers. We are currently working on the launch of the app in a zero to one space.

Role: UX Research, analysis, design, delivery
Date: Current (2022)
Tools: Research tools (focus groups, rainbow spreadsheets), Miro, Leadership, Figma, Sketch, Usability testing
Problem

No way to follow friends or thought leaders - wouldn't it be great to follow what content you most respected thought leaders are consuming?

No hub to store culture recommendations - Wouldn't it be great if all the multiple lists, 'saved' posts on Instagram, and Google Drive files were all in one place?

Solution
Follow friends or thought leaders - follow those whose recommendations and opinions you respect.

A centralised space to store culture - An accessible space to save the culture that you'd like to consume later. W

Competitor Research
Twitter: The Twitter timeline is a place to stay on top of what everyone’s talking about, including the culture they're consuming. Twitter is the new media source for what's happening in the world, straight from the accounts of the influential people who affect users world day-today.

Good Reads: Goodreads is a social cataloging website and a subsidiary of Amazon that allows individuals to search its database of books, annotations, quotes, and reviews. Users can sign up and register books to generate library catalogs and reading lists.

Google Arts and Culture: Google Arts & Culture is an online platform of high-resolution images and videos of artworks and cultural articles from partner cultural organisations through the world.

User Research

Tools: focus groups, user testing, user interviews.
The user research has shown that the audiences want to share their experiences, whether it's a recent play, political podcast, or experience, there is clearly an appetite for sharing.
The research also shows that users want to engage in other's recommendations.
Consistent user research in line with building the app has helped to shape the re-design, develop and upgrade features to shape our user-centered platform for an easy answer to sharing recommendations

Constant product testing
Tools: wire frames, user flow testing, AB testing, Figma, Miro, prototyping

Product testing has brought to light any bugs and issues the users are facing.
We are constantly updating and amending the app based on our findings, the most recent amends include (and are certainly not exclusive to) a prompt to rate Bezzy app after initial recommendation, onboarding assessment, bookmarking, adding a camera to the 'add image' functionality, removing the follow button from profile.
Solution [so far]
The full experience. We allow users to save content for later and to follow their friends and influencers.

Start-of-the-art-technology. An incredibly user-friendly interface keeps users engaging and updating.

Streamlined customer experience. We make the experience of using the app as easy as possible.

Customisable profiles. Users can save and share books, podcasts, theatre, articles, and more.
